Assisted Living Communities
Here's the key to the best, rest of your life.
Assisted Living Journey, What to Expect
Need a Little Help
You have probably found yourself or your loved one in a place where some daily challenges are arising. This can look different for each person and may be things like having a hard time monitoring and taking the right medicines or struggling with fixing meals and eating regularly. For a family, just knowing their loved one has access to 24 hour care should they need it, can provide much needed peace of mind. Wherever you are, you can ease into the level of care you need.
Finding Support
After a resident is settled in, we hold routine meetings to review how they’re doing with the current level of care. Our system is simple and transparent with clearly defined levels of service. We can provide everything from meals and meal delivery, assistance with bathing and dressing, altered diets, hair salon services and other daily support as needed.
Ongoing Care
Aging in place means that when clinical needs progress or change, you are part of a system that can accommodate you. Part of the Marquis difference is the ability to offer a complete continuum of care. Our Assisted Living clinical staff is able to treat chronic conditions such as diabetes or ongoing treatments like catheterization, and advanced clinical and rehabilitation resources are available if/when needed.

Managing the Transition to an Assisted Living Facility
Arranging a Move
Moving can be a daunting task, especially if it’s from a family home of many years, but there are ways to make the process positive and easier. Communicating clearly and honestly about the move is the first step. If you are the one moving, make sure to ask for or find support from people you trust. If you are helping a loved one move, remember to honor their choices and that this is likely an emotional process for them as they say goodbye to the home they’ve known.
A Step-by-Step Guide to a Successful Move
Insurance and Costs
We believe in transparency and all services and fees are clearly listed in our rate sheets. We provide a detailed overview of the Difference Between Marquis’ Assisted Living Payment System and Others. A representative from the facility of your choice is always there to help walk you through the costs and process. In addition, our Options & Costs resource can help identify different sources of possible payment options.
Managing Medications
The way you manage medications is your decision. If comfortable doing so, you can still handle your own medications or we can help you with custom levels of management. A Nurse employed by our pharmacy will do an assessment of your medications to ensure that prescriptions are accurate and correct, and check in on a continual basis. For more information about medication management, our Consonus Pharmacy, Your Perfect Dose Program is a great option.
Admission
The admission process usually originates with obtaining medical information from your doctor. We will then do an in-person assessment. We want to get to know you, your preferences and your family. From the assessment, a Personal Care Plan is generated and we will get formal medical orders from your doctor. Paperwork can be done at the time of starting services, or prior to, whatever is most convenient. Our priority is to get you or your loved one settled. If you have questions about the admission process, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Will and Estates
Estate planning is an important arrangement for all aging people to have in place to avoid family disputes, legal fees and/or the government taking possession of assets. It’s also a chance for an aging person to make their wishes for their finances and health care known to their loved ones so everyone can be on the same page. Estate Planning documents can be drawn up by a trusted attorney, or you can use a do-it-yourself legal document source such as LawDepot.com.
